THE INFLUENCE OF THE RELATIONAL HETEROGENEITY OF CREDIT COOPERATIVES ON INNOVATION

A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar a influência das relações com cooperativas centrais no fomento da inovação em cooperativas individuais. Foi realizado um estudo exploratório-descritivo, operacionalizado por meio de uma abordagem quantitativa e a partir de um paradigma epistemológico positivista. Os dados foram coletados de 213 cooperativas e analisados por meio de análise de variância e regressão linear. Além disso, por meio de análise fatorial, foram avaliadas a validade e a confiabilidade dos construtos investigados. Embora a inovação seja um elemento expressivamente relevante no cooperativismo, existem lacunas no conhecimento geral sobre o fomento da inovação no contexto das cooperativas. Identificou-se que as cooperativas centrais influenciam a inovação das cooperativas individuais, especialmente se mantiverem laços relacionais expressivos, como observado mais amplamente em cooperativas de crédito. A cooperativa central pode atuar na centralização das atividades de inovação, bem como possibilitar a formação de redes fechadas, para minimizar o comportamento oportunista e favorecer a transferência de conhecimento e recursos entre as cooperativas a ela vinculadas.
