SINTOMAS PSICOPATOLÓGICOS EM HOMENS QUE VIVENCIAM O LUTO PERINATAL: UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA

O luto perinatal é uma experiência de potencial impacto emocional, frequentemente marcada por invisibilidade social e institucional, especialmente no que se refere à vivência masculina. Considerando a relevância deste tema, objetivou-se identificar os sintomas psicopatológicos em homens que vivenciam o luto perinatal. Para esse fim, realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura na SciELO, BVS, LILACS e Google Acadêmico. Incluíram-se artigos completos, disponíveis na íntegra, indexados, de acesso livre, nas línguas portuguesa, inglesa e espanhola, publicados no intervalo de 2000 a 2025. Não integraram a amostra os artigos repetidos, textos inacessíveis na íntegra e estudos de natureza não empírica. Adicionalmente, descartou-se a literatura cinzenta, categoria que engloba relatórios, monografias, dissertações e teses. Após as etapas de triagem e leitura na íntegra, sete estudos compuseram a síntese final. Os principais resultados revelaram a presença de sofrimento emocional internalizado, caracterizado por tristeza intensa, ansiedade, culpa e dificuldade de expressão emocional, bem como manifestações externalizantes, como irritabilidade, isolamento social, uso de álcool e comportamentos evitativos. Também foi possível encontrar sintomas compatíveis com luto prolongado e estresse traumático. Por fim, constata-se que o luto perinatal masculino está associado a repercussões significativas na saúde mental, ressaltando-se a necessidade de maior reconhecimento dessa vivência e do desenvolvimento de práticas de cuidado sensíveis aos homens.
