ASSOCIATION OF SOCIODEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS WITH LEVELS OF ANXIETY, DEPRESSION AND STRESS IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Abstract
This study aims to investigate university students in the healthcare field in order to identify signs of stress and depression among them. The research included a sample of one hundred and eleven individuals of both sexes, selected based on their enrollment in a healthcare-related course. These participants responded to comprehensive questionnaires with sections designed to collect relevant information. The collected data were tabulated to enable the quantification of factors and the attainment of conclusive results. Upon concluding the investigation, it was found that women are more prone to exhibiting signs of stress and depression. These findings emphasize the need to promote awareness about the importance of mental health and to reduce the stigma associated with mental disorders. It is crucial to take measures to provide adequate support and preventive interventions to enhance the emotional well-being of university students in the healthcare field.
