A ETNOBIOLOGIA COMO FERRAMENTA PARA AÇÕES DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL EM GOIÁS: ANÁLISE DAS ESCOLAS DA COORDENAÇÃO REGIONAL DE ITAPACI/GO
Abstract
During the 1960s and 1970s, the global environmental crisis and social movements spread across the planet created paradigms for thinking about the environment. The origin of Environmental Education dates back to this period, which in Brazil was regulated in the 1990s. A field of knowledge that can assist in Environmental Education is Ethnobiology and its interdisciplinary characteristic. With this, we carried out a case study in schools of the Regional Education Coordination of Itapaci/GO – CRE Itapaci of the Goiás State Department of Education, with the aim of understanding their Environmental Education actions and how Ethnobiology can assist in these processes. We analyzed the Pedagogical Political Project, understood as an institutional guiding document, of eight CRE Itapaci schools, characterizing them and identifying how they establish Environmental Education and use it and how Ethnobiology can offer support to their actions.
