DEMOCRACIA E DIREITOS HUMANOS NO CONTEXTO DA MIGRAÇÃO VENEZUELANA: UMA ANÁLISE À LUZ DE TOCQUIVILLE E LEFORT

Abstract

Through the works of Alexis de Tocqueville and Claude Lefort, we investigate how the political and social challenges posed by mass immigration from Venezuela affect democratic principles and human rights. In this approach, we highlight the tensions between the inclusion of immigrants and the demands for national sovereignty, as well as the institutional and social responses to these challenges. In the end, we propose reflections on possible solutions to reconcile the protection of human rights with democratic demands. Democracy; Human rights; Immigration

Doutorando no Programa de Pós-graduação Interdisciplinar em Direitos Humanos da Universidade Federal de Goiás (2023-2027). Mestre em Direitos Humanos pelo Programa de Pós-graduação Interdisciplinar em Direitos Humanos da Universidade Federal de Goiás (2021-2023). Especialista em Direito Civil e Processo Civil pela Escola Superior de Direito (2018-2019), Direito Contratual pelo Complexo de Ensino Renato Saraiva (2019-2020), Docência no Ensino Superior pela Faculdade Estratego (2020-2022), Direito Previdenciário pela Faculdade Legale (2020-2021), na Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados pela Faculdade Legale (2022-2023) e em Direito Penal e Processo Penal pela Faculdade Legale (2022-2023). Graduado em Direito pela Universidade Salgado de Oliveira - Campus Goiânia (2013-2017). Atualmente é Advogado regularmente inscrito nos quadros da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil - Seção Goiás e vice-coordenador da Subcomissão de Direitos Humanos das pessoas refugiadas da OAB/GO (2022/2024). Segue a linha de pesquisa democracia e desigualdades, que tem por objetivo tematizar a relação entre democracia e desigualdade no aspecto social, político, econômico e jurídico no âmbito do Estado nacional e da proteção internacional, principalmente sobre migração internacional e de apoio/amparo a grupos de minorias, quais sejam, migrantes, refugiados, pessoas com deficiências e com doenças graves.

Graduada em biomedicina pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goias (PUC-GO). Mestra em Biologia da Relação Parasito-Hospedeiro pela Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). Doutora em Medicina Tropical e Saúde pública pela UFG. Atualmente é docente substituta na UFG lotada no Instituto de Patologia Tropical e Saúde Pública (IPTSP); docente adjunta no Centro Universitário UniAraguaia; docente ajunta no Centro Universitário UniCambury.

Wátila de Moura Sousa, Universidade Federal de Jataí (UFJ)

Graduado em Fisioterapia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás (PUCGO). Especialista profissional em Fisioterapia Respiratória pela Associação Brasileira de Fisioterapia Cardiorrespiratória e Terapia Intensiva - ASSOBRAFIR/COFFITO. Especialista em Fisioterapia Hospitalar com ênfase em Terapia Intensiva e em Fisiologia do Exercício Aplicada à Clínica pela Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). Mestrado e doutorado em Ciências da Saúde pela Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). Atualmente é membro do Núcleo de Pesquisa em Reabilitação Cardiovascular - NUPREC/UFG e professor efetivo da Universidade Federal de Jataí (UFJ), lotado no Instituto de Ciências da Saúde - curso de Fisioterapia, na área de Fisioterapia Cardiovascular e Terapia Intensiva.
