This article aims to present possible lessons from Pedagogy for Journalism education. The intention is to foster discussion about the teacher's role in the training process in journalism undergraduate courses and, consequently, to encourage reflections on the challenges and perspectives related to the art of teaching the profession and shaping the professional-citizen committed to humanity. To this end, this text was built upon the thoughts of philosophers and authors dedicated to reflecting on knowledge, learning, and the educational process, including Gaston Bachelard, Michel Foucault, Paulo Freire, and Rubem Alves.
