Keywords:
Industrial effluent treatment plant. Sludge activated.Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the restructuring of an activated sludge effluent treatment plant of the prolonged aeration type, in addition to monitoring the beginning of the system used to treat the effluent in a nutritional products industry, which before its implantation and Operation, underwent the reform process, since there already existed in this place, an industry of manufacture of ration for domestic animals, in which it contemplated a unit of treatment. The present study has the objective of evaluating the adequacies employed in an effluent treatment plant of a nutritional products industry, to the new treatment plant, through the use of methods: on-site visit, evaluation of the Environmental Control Plan (PCA), Characterization Memorial Of the Enterprise (MCE) and Memorial of the Effluent Treatment System of the industry, carried out by a third company, besides being guided by the current legislation. Based on current legislation, technical data and the stages that encompass the treatment system, the study establishes a comparative character, allowing the determination of situations of conformity or not, of the use of a treatment system. The steps of restructuring, submitted to the effluent treatment plant in question, were paramount for the system to become efficient. Although the treatment units are not functioning 100%, because the project is new and its developed activities generate a low effluent volume, the system demonstrates an efficiency as to the applicability of the method.
