TUTAMEIA, THE WRITING TRAJECTORY

The verification of the constitution of the book as object requires studies on the history of the composition of the book as such. To structure itself as we know it, the book goes through several stages in its material dimension, among them: the paratexts, the pre-textual, organizational part of a publication. Knowing the details of this editorial structure contributes to the organization and reading of a work. However, there are authors who use the transgression of the norm to pursue the artistic spirit. The prefaces of the work Tutameia by João Guimarães Rosa raise the essential question of this work: does the transgression of the author make them the prefaces of the work texts or paratexts? The trajectory for the effective publication of the work shows how critical the author was in his editorial review and how important it is for the reader to understand this process.
