Water is the most important and most consumed natural resource in the world. Among the large water consumers, the concrete industries stand out, which for their operation, both for the manufacture of concrete and for other purposes, it is considered a very high water volume. The present case study had the objective of analyzing the system of reuse of water for internal washing of concrete mixer trucks at the Realmix concrete plant located in Aparecida de Goiânia-Goiás, in August 2016. To obtain results on the economic feasibility a survey was made of the total quantity of liters of water purchased, the volume used to make concrete and the volume treated in the decanter. It was estimated that for the washing of the trucks an average of 0.8 m³ of water is used. In the system of reuse of water for washing trucks in the industry under study had a saving of 14 thousand reais in the month of August. It should be emphasized that concrete mixer trucks must be washed to avoid contamination of the new mixture as well as the accumulation of concrete residues on the inner surface of the flask. However, companies also cooperate significantly with the environmental importance of recycling and reusing water for this purpose because water resources are finite and water conservation by rationing their use is an ecologically necessary attitude. Concrete manufacturing industries must economize, reuse water, draw up plans to minimize waste and promote educational actions accordingly, then the concept of environmental management that automatically brings credibility and confidence, both internally and externally.
