CONSERVATION OF WILD PASSION FRUIT UNDER A MODIFIED PASSIVE ATMOSPHERE

Abstract

The objective of this work was to evaluate different packaging in the post-harvest quality of wild passion fruit 'BRS Pérola do Cerrado'. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design, factorial scheme 5x8 (packages x days of analysis) and the analyzes performed with four replicates. The following were evaluated: mass loss; yield of crude pulp, soluble solids and color (luminosity, ºHue, chroma). The data obtained from the analyzed variables were submitted to analysis of variance, when significant, the Tukey averages comparison test at 5% probability, regression analysis and Pearson correlation for crude pulp yield was performed. It was concluded the wild passion fruit 'BRS Pérola do Cerrado', highlighted the packaging of PEBD, being observed commercial quality for the fruits until the 18th day of storage.
