STUDY OF THE APPLICATION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS LABORATORY AS A TOOL FOR WASTE MANAGEMENT

Environmental analysis laboratories have the scope of analysis of water in general, cosmetics, effluent, air and soil, being of the utmost importance the correct destination of the waste generated in the processes; in order to properly and dynamically segregate waste generated ISO 1400: 2015 can be a tool that will provide the reduction and reuse of tools and inputs resulting in a reduction in the use of natural resources, reduction of pollution and control of impacts activity can cause. The objective of the study is to characterize the environmental aspects and define the importance of implementing Environmental Management System in environmental analysis laboratories. The methodology used for the elaboration of this article consisted of a qualitative research through the bibliographical review and documentary analysis of the laboratories interviewed and application of a questionnaire based on the requirements of the norm. The data show that the laboratories studied do not yet have an Environmental Management System in place.
