ANÁLISE DOS AGREGADOS MIÚDOS UTILIZADOS NA CIDADE DE SANTARÉM POR DIFRAÇÃO DE RAIOS X

Os agregados para a construção civil são os insumos minerais mais utilizados no mundo. Entretanto, ainda há poucos estudos sobre as características dos agregados da cidade de Santarém, neste contexto, com intuito de obter mais informações acerca das características desses, a presente pesquisa surge da necessidade de identificar os minerais constituintes das areias utilizadas na confecção de materiais de construção. Dessa forma, foi abordada a caracterização, a identificação das áreas de exploração, a qualificação dos minerais por difração de raios X (DRX) e a investigação do potencial reativo dos agregados miúdos. De acordo com as análises de DRX, as amostras apresentaram predominância do mineral quartzo. Em três delas foi identificada a provável presença de caulinita. Constatou-se que 80% das amostras exibiram comportamento potencialmente inócuo, enquanto 20% mostraram-se potencialmente reativas.
