Abstract

O presente artigo discute a respeito da ideia de direitos humanos tendo como ponto de partida as reflexões da filósofa e teórica política Hannah Arendt. A tarefa desta pesquisa visa apontar possíveis paradoxos em relação ao postulado da Declaração Universal dos Direitos Humanos. Em primeiro lugar devido ao fato de que os a declaração dos direitos do homem propõe uma ideia destarte abstrata sobre o ser humano. Em segundo lugar, a promessa de que tais direitos seriam inalienáveis se mostrou falha desde então, sobretudo pela lacuna de instituições internacionais que fossem capazes de fazer tal garantia. Desse modo, Arendt, que por experiência própria enquanto uma refugiada no período do regime nazista, propõe uma ressignificação dos ideais acerca dos direitos do homem. Tais direitos, neste sentido, precisam levar em conta o sujeito na sua concretude, reconhecendo seus valores essenciais e sociais, assim como as faculdades humanas que são legitimadoras da liberdade, quais sejam, a ação e o discurso.

Pedro Vinícius Dias Alcantara, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás

Doutorando em Ciências da Religião pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás. Mestre em Filosofia pela Universidade Federal de Goiás, com concentração na área de Ética e Política, onde exerce pesquisa sobre o pensamento de Hannah Arendt e a Modernidade. Possui graduação Licenciatura em Filosofia, pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás (2017), e Bacharel em Teologia - Seminário Teológico Batista Goiano (2013) e graduação em Bacharelado Teologia pela Faculdade da Igreja Ministério Fama (2016)
