ENSINO DE HISTÓRIA E A QUESTÃO AFROBRASILEIRA NO CURRÍCULO ESCOLAR

O presente texto tem como foco a análise do processo de recepção da questão afro-brasileira no campo educacional. O problema básico é como se deu o reconhecimento da herança da escravidão expressa no racismo e a formulação de políticas e práticas educacionais para combatê-lo. Nossa hipótese é que somente o aprimoramento das práticas educacionais rumo à igualdade racial será capaz de equacionar os males derivados da herança da escravidão. O objetivo do presente texto foi examinar a trajetória do debate político-institucional sobre a questão afro-brasileira e sua articulação com a educação. Esperamos contribuir para desenvolver o debate em torno dos erros e acertos sobre o tema no campo escolar e os rumos a seguir com vistas ao acolhimento a nível das mentalidades do fato do multiculturalismo que permeia nossa sociedade. Do ponto de vista metodológico foi empreendida abordagem qualitativa, construída através de pesquisa bibliográfica.
