O envelhecimento populacional é um fenômeno que acarreta uma série de desafios econômicos, sociais e psicológicos. Este ensaio buscou refletir e explorar as implicações do envelhecimento populacional nos aspectos econômicos e suas repercussões na qualidade de vida dos idosos, destacando a necessidade de políticas públicas integradas que abordem não apenas as questões financeiras e de saúde, mas também as dimensões sociais e emocionais do envelhecimento. Nesse sentido, abrangem-se diversas áreas, desde políticas públicas de saúde até considerações sobre mudanças no padrão de consumo e as novas demandas de uma sociedade que envelhece.
