REPORT OF EXPERIENCE REGARDING ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT BY THE STUDY CENTER ON EDUCATION FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: PATHWAYS TO INCLUSION
Abstract
According to the IBGE, Brazil has more than 17 million people with disabilities, but despite representing a large part of the population, they face difficulties in their daily lives due to the lack of inclusion even after the enactment of Decrees, resolutions, recommendations, among others. In view of the above, the objective was to report the experiences lived by academics, professionals and members of INCLUI who participated in the internal activities and social and extension actions carried out by the Center for Studies on Education for People with Disabilities (INCLUI) during the semester of 2024. This is an experience report study with a qualitative and descriptive approach and the results achieved were positive, considering that students and teachers obtained in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge about Inclusive Education in various aspects, allowing them to develop critical and reflective thinking, as well as to recognize its main challenges and the perspectives for a look at attention to individuals, aiming at integrality and equity. Furthermore, these outreach actions and activities contributed significantly to the inclusion and accessibility of participating members and the community at large.
