AVALIAÇÃO ENQUANTO PROCESSO: UM OLHAR SOBRE AS DISCIPLINAS DE PROJETO NO CURSO DE ARQUITETURA E URBANISMO
Keywords:
evaluation, architectural design, architecture education, learningAbstract
This study aims to analyze the evaluation process in design studio courses within the Architecture and Urbanism program, considering its contribution to student learning. The research adopts a qualitative approach and was conducted through a literature review, document analysis, and the administration of a semi-structured questionnaire to students and faculty members. The study is characterized as a survey, with data collection taking place between March 29 and April 10, 2025. It investigated the assessment practices adopted in design studios, the criteria used by instructors, and students’ perceptions regarding the fairness, clarity, and effectiveness of evaluations. The results reveal gaps in the evaluation process, such as the absence of objective criteria and limited feedback for continuous learning. Based on the data collected, the study proposes guidelines to improve evaluation practices in design studio courses, making them more formative, transparent, and aligned with the principles of meaningful learning.
