ESTUDO DA VIABILIDADE DA IMPLANTAÇÃO DE SISTEMA DE APROVEITAMENTO DE ÁGUA NA CIDADE DE GOIÂNIA

Water scarcity, intensified by population growth and climate change, has demanded sustainable solutions for water management, especially in urban centers such as Goiânia, which faces seasonal droughts and increased potable water consumption. In this context, this study aims to evaluate the technical, economic, and environmental feasibility of implementing a rainwater harvesting system in the city. To achieve this, climatic and construction data were collected from a test building, and the Netuno software was used to design the rainwater collection and storage system, considering the demand for non-potable water and periods of drought. The analysis included regulatory aspects and technical specifications of the Rainwater Harvesting System (SAAP. The results indicated that although large-capacity reservoirs are highly efficient in meeting water demand, their application proves to be unfeasible due to the high implementation cost and the seasonal nature of rainfall.
