ANALYSIS OF THE FACTORS INVOLVING THE USE OF INDIVIDUAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT IN GRAPHIC INDUSTRY IN GOIÂNIA

This research project was developed in a graphic industry, in the city of Goiânia. Aiming to analyze the factors that involve the use of Individual Protection Equipment (EPI) by employees of the graphic printing industry and the causes of possible occupational accidents and diseases. Being used for the data collection questionnaires and interview with the employees. This paper addresses the annual curve of occupational accidents. The survey results show that most employees do not use Personal Protective Equipment (EPI) on the grounds that they are unnecessary, uncomfortable or simply forgetting. The main risk in the graph is the prolonged exposure to noise exceeding 85 dB that causes permanent deafness. Organizations are social institutions and must guarantee the physical and mental integrity of their employees, they need to know that every work accident is the result of human failures and become aware of the need to develop training to train their workforce effectively.
