The main challenge faced by managers in urban areas in Brazil is the guarantee of supply and supply of treated water to the population. There are expressive reserves of fresh water, however, concentrated in the smaller urban centers while, the regions of greater population densities coexist with their lack. But, the water that is delivered to these urban centers via distribution is still lost during this process. In 2015 the index of losses in the public water supply in Brazil was high. The example of 76.50% in Amapá can be cited. For Goiás the index was 28.80%. The losses in the system are due to clandestine connections and leaks in the distribution network. The municipal headquarters of Corumbá de Goiás has a municipal water supply service. This paper aims to inform and detail the loss index in the water supply system of the municipal headquarters of Corumbá de Goiás, promoting information pertinent to the proposed intervention in the system. The determination of the loss index in the water supply system was through on-site verifications and through the preparation of spreadsheets with measured consumption and made available by the Autonomous Water and Sewage Service. As a result, a high loss index (44.72%) was obtained in relation to the State of Goiás, which according to the National Sanitation Information System is one of the states with the lowest loss index reduce these values.Downloads
