Abstract

The text deals with the analysis of the contributions of the North American psychologist Carl Rogers for the educational area. One of the main authors of the Humanist Theory, of cognitivist visions, the discussion will focus on the roles that must be assumed by teachers under the aegis of freedom, independence, motivation, individual experience, congruence and authenticity, some of the essential points of the legacy left to the education.
