Water is the most important natural resource on the planet for maintaining life. It is a resource that does not respect foreign exchange, it crosses cities, states and nations, so it is a good to be shared by all. The increasing demand for water due to disorderly population growth in large metropolitan areas and increasing pollution of water sources with industrial, residential and solid waste effluents is increasingly contributing to the scarcity of water supplies. So an alternative is necessary to preserve this precious natural resource. There are several measures to minimize the consumption of drinking water, one of them can be the reuse of gray and / or wastewater which with simple treatment process makes it possible to reuse it for non potable purposes. The present research aimed to find this solution, presenting as a case study the treatment and reuse of gray water in three vertical buildings in the city of Goiânia. For this, it initially covers the main sources of gray water, the necessary adaptations to the buildings to enable the collection and treatment as well as a compact method for the treatment of gray water. The result of the feasibility analysis of a gray water treatment system shows a positive interference due to the low cost of installation and maintenance compared to the cost of a building, as well as to promote the economics of drinking water provided by the utility as well with consequent decrease of expenses for the owners.
